4303-1006-0015 4303 Series Steel, MOD 0.8 Pinion Gear (6mm D-Bore, 15 Tooth) Being steel, these pinion gears provide greater overall strength (as compared to brass or aluminum) ,If you're using a motor with a 6mm D-shaft as an output, or you have built your project using 6mm D-shafts as the axles, these D-bore gears match the shaft profile in order to create a positive drive between the shaft and the gear.This MOD 0.8 pinion gear, while aesthetically unique compared to the larger pinion gears, will operate the same.  Due to the small overall diameter, the set screw hole has been machined through the teeth to maximize the number of threads engaged with the set screw. While this gear is compatible with any MOD 0.8 gear, it's most common partner is a 105 tooth hub gear.  This combo will create a 7:1 ratio, underdrive or overdrive depending on whether you're set out to increase the speed or maximize torque.
