There are some use cases where you need to clamp onto something other than a d-shaft, or, maybe you want to clamp onto a d-shaft while retaining the freedom to clock your hub independent of the location of the flat on the shaft. As with all S-o-n-i-c Hubs, this hub is balanced and possesses two pinch bolts to maximize the clamping force while maintaining a slim profile.
